Paket veri ağlarına kablosuz erişimi kolaylaştıran ve güçlendiren GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications - Mobil İletişim İçin Küresel Sistem) için yeni bir taşıyıcı hizmettir. Paketler GPRS gezgin istasyonlarından paket anahtarlamalı ağlara doğrudan yönlendirilir. Paket iletim yöntemiyle çalıştığı için veri aktarımı daha hızlı ve tepki süreleri çok daha azdır.
